Paraclesis to the Theotokos (for Dormition Fast) (in place of Vespers) on Wednesday at 6:30pm. This service is a beautiful extended hymn of reflection and, like the Dormition Fast season itself, encourages us to consider the Virgin Mary’s role in our God’s saving dispensation (her saying “yes” to the Incarnation) and to ask her to pray for us before her Son and our God. The weekly Christian Education class will follow at 7:20pm. Fr. Justin will begin a 5-part series on “Orthodoxy & Society.” Come and bring friends.
