Ecclesiastical New Year on September 1 will be marked in two ways this year. First, our Tuesday Intercession Service at 11am will be a Moleben for the New Year. As usual, we will pray for all parishioners and those who are on the prayer list by name. Second, on Tuesday night, St. Andrew’s is hosting a New Year Service with “Akathist in Praise of Creation” at 7pm. Fr. Tom has invited Fr. Cosmin (of Panagia Greek Orthodox Church) and Fr. Justin to serve with him. St. Andrew’s will be welcoming the Lexington-area Ministerial Association to their parish as guests of the Orthodox. The Roman Catholic Bishop of Lexington is planning on being a special guest at this event.
Wednesday Vespers w/ Prayers for New Church Year at 6:30pm. Orthodox Worship & Values is the topic for the weekly Christian Education class beginning ~7:20pm following Vespers. This class is always open to the public. You are encouraged to invite friends.
Mark Your Calendars: Sunday, Sept. 13, Sunday School Begins for 2015-16; Sunday, Sept. 27, Annual Parish Meeting. We hope all of our parish community will plan to participate in these events. More information will be available next week.
