Today’s Readings: 2 Corinthians 6:1-10 Luke 7:11-16
Neophytos Nyeri & Mount Kenya, the first native Kenyan Orthodox Bishop
His Grace Bishop Neofitos of Kenya will be visiting Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Louisville on October 16. We have been invited, along with the other Orthodox parishes of Kentucky, to meet with His Grace on Sunday evening at 5pm. This is truly an honor to have him come to our state, and I pray that many will come and enjoy his most inspiring pastoral fatherhood. The time should be early enough that we can bring our children and still return home for a reasonable bedtime.
No Moleben on Tuesday, October 11 as Fr. Justin will be out of town.
Vespers on Wednesday at 6:30pm followed by our Introduction to Orthodoxy series at 7:20pm. The topic will be “Introducing an Orthodox Worldview—Formation in Christ, Part I.” Part 1 of 11 of this series is now online (as YouTube video, as an audio podcast, and with a pdf of the slide show). Be edified and share! And come join us for Part 2 this coming Wednesday night.
