Summer continues. Traditionally, July is a relatively quiet month in the church–lots of traveling and no Great Feasts. August, of course, brings with it the Dormition Fast, the Great Feast of Transfiguration, several lesser feasts, and the culmination of the Summer Pascha: the Feast of the Dormition (Falling-Asleep) of the Theotokos.
