As in most Orthodox parishes, summertime at St. Athanasius offers a more relaxed pace of church life, especially compared to the springtime (Lent and Pascha,) early fall (various feasts and “back to school,”) and wintertime (Nativity Fast, Christmas, and Epiphany.) Already this summer, our parish family has concluded the Paschal season and Sunday School year, celebrated two Great Feasts, organized a retreat for our Russian-speaking parishioners, and hosted our annual Vacation Church School for our children. (You can see photos of these events below.)
Nonetheless, we look forward to a number of exciting church moments and celebrations over the course of June and July:
- ongoing Christian Education every Wednesday night (720-820pm) following our Wednesday night Vespers at 630pm
- ongoing cycle of weekly services (see online calendar)
