In the Orthodox Church, our liturgical year begins on Sept. 1. In our practical life, the fall is when we begin our academic cycle, as well. With this new ecclesiastical and academic year, St. Athanasius invites both our parishioners and visitors to join us in two very important aspects of our parish’s ministry in this community:
A 13-week Catechetical Series begins September 4 and will be held each Wednesday evening at 7:30pm (following the 6:30pm Vespers service) throughout the fall. Father Justin will be teaching the basics of the Orthodox Christian faith, from a to z. All talks in this series are being recorded on Youtube and can be accessed at

Age-Appropriate Sunday School (pre-K through adult) begins September 15 and continues throughout the entire school year (with a break at Christmas and New Year’s). Our seven Sunday School groups gather at 9am each Sunday morning. Divine Liturgy follows at 10am.
Visitors and newcomers are welcome to both the Catechetical Series and Sunday School!
