26th Sunday After Pentecost and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Feast Day
The Christian Education Class will meet on Wednesday, December 9 following 6:30pm Vespers. Everyone is invited to join Fr. Justin’s teaching from “A Practical Handbook of Faith, Part 10: Sickness, Death, Funerals, Memorials.” If you have not been able to attend, you can view the prior sessions on YouTube at athanasius oca.
Saturday, December 12 is the Feast of St. Spyridon the Wonderworker. He is called a “walking saint” because the silk slippers which clothe the feet of his relics wear out each year and are replaced on his feast day. We will commemorate St. Spyridon on Friday, December 11 with Vespers at 5pm (confessions will follow) and on Saturday the 12th with Liturgy at 9am.
