Beheading of St. John the Baptist
Today is a strict fasting day in honor of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist.
On Tuesday, August 31 the parish makes history with the Inaugural Meeting of the Berea Mission. Everyone is welcome to come to the Vespers Service & Fellowship that will begin at 6:30pm at the Quaker Meeting House in Berea located close to the college campus. September meetings will be on the 14th and the 28th and continue monthly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. We will follow modified Covid protocols.
On Wednesday, September 1 we celebrate the start of the Ecclesiastical New Year and the Anniversary of the Repose of Archbishop Nikhon. Litya for the Archbishop will be served at 6:15pm, then at 6:30 Fr. Justin will lead the Akathist “Glory to God for All Things,” then the Christian Ed Class will focus on the “circle of the church year.” All are welcome and encouraged to bring friends.
