Parish Seeking Administrative Assistant

St. Athanasius Orthodox Church in Nicholasville, KY is seeking a part-time Parish Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to our clergy and parish. This position offers a blend of remote and in-office work, allowing for flexibility and a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Communications and Outreach:
  • Create weekly bulletins 
  • Assist with managing website and social media content
  • Support clergy in curating data files and email tools for parish communication 
• Administrative Support:
  • Assist with managing volunteer teams 
  • Maintain office supply inventory and place orders 
  • Sort and distribute mail 
  • Provide support to the treasurer with various tasks 
• Technology and Organization:
  • Become proficient in using and managing our Google Drive
  • Maintain organized records and files

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with website and social media management is a plus
• Familiarity with the Orthodox Christian faith is preferred

Hours and Compensation:

• Approximately 12 hours per week
• Partially remote, partially in-office (specific schedule to be determined)
• $735 per month
