Special 2-Part Series “The Place of Icons in Christian Life” continues Wednesday following Vespers at 6:30pm. In the first segment, Fr. Justin discussed the theology and history of icons, using many slides, exploring “classic icons.” In second part, he will show photos of icons in our church, explaining the symbolism and meaning of many (if not most!) of the icons we regularly see.
Special Christian Education Class for July 19—Ralph Sidway will be giving a presentation on his book project “The American Thebaid: a Tour of Orthodox Monasteries in America.” Mr. Sidway is
from an OCA parish in Cincinnati, OH. You can read more about his project and see a short video here: http://thebaid.org/ This class will be held in the parish hall and light refreshments will be served by the St. Elizabeth Sisterhood.
