Rain Garden / Playground Work Day
Due to the weather, the planned work day on Saturday, October 3 was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday, October 5. Josh Lourie will be leading the work on the playground beginning at 8am and Mary Bradshaw will lead the planting of the rain garden starting at 9am. Fr. Justin will provide donuts and coffee. All hands welcome.
Saturday, October 10 – Charity Event
at St. Athanasius Orthodox Church from 4-5:30pm
St. Athanasius, along with our sister Orthodox parishes in Lexington, and the Jessamine County Ministerial Association, is sponsoring a fundraising event to benefit the Syria Fund of IOCC. This event will feature:
- a short video about the Syrian crisis;
- eyewitness accounts from Syrian Christians
- panel discussion with Orthodox Christian clergy & Syrian refugees;
- refreshments provided by hosting organizations.
Pan-Orthodox Soccer Game is being organized by friends at Panagia. •Where: 1421 Higbee Mill Road (Higbee Mill Park)
•Who: All ages (with possible division into age-groups)
•When: Sunday, October 4 at 3 pm (Bring water bottles.)
