Annual Parish Meeting Today Following Liturgy
Our annual meeting will begin ~11:45am today in the nave. All parishioners should be in attendance as we will be voting on the 2015-16 buget and electing 2 new council members who will serve a 3- year term. Friends and visitors are welcome to stay as observers. Although the business aspect of church life may seem boring, it is a physical reality to our spiritual life. Childcare will be provided by two Asbury education students, so parents can attend without distraction. The church will provide pizza for everyone following the meeting.
Welcome Jason McCord who is enrolled today as a catechumen. Jason has attended St Athanasius since early this year and has committed to joining not only our parish family, but the Orthodox Church throughout the world. Many years!
Wednesday Great Vespers at 6:30pm will be followed by Part IV of our Special Christian Education Series “Handbook of Orthodox Life.” Class begins at 7:20pm in the conference room and will cover wording and Liturgy in the Orthodox Church. Visitors Welcome!
Festal Liturgy for the Feast of the Protection of the Theotokos will be served on Thursday, October 1 at 7am.
Friday Matins at 8am on Oct. 2 followed by confessions.
