•Presanctified Liturgy on Wednesday begins at 5:55pm followed by soup/salad meal with Lenten readings.
•Presanctified Liturgy on Friday at 11am
Please make every effort to attend as many of these events as possible as we begin our lenten journey.
The Wednesday evening Presanctified Liturgy and soup/salad meal will continue throughout Lent.
Clean Week Fasting Guidelines: Monday thru Friday fasting should be as strict as possible without causing sickness or endangering self or others. Xerophagy or “dry eating” with foods like nuts, vegetables, fruits, or breads helps us spend less time on food prep, yet keep up our strength for prayer and labors. We can have a cooked meal mid-week after Wednesday Presanctified Liturgy and then break the fast on Friday after Presanctified Liturgy.
Sunday of Orthodoxy is next week! We are excited to be hosting the annual Pan- Orthodoxy Vespers for Kentucky at 5pm next Sunday. It will be a joy to welcome Orthodox from across our state, including the new priest of the Greek parish in Louisville, Fr. Jon Boukis, who will be our guest homilist. Following the service the St. Elizabeth Sisterhood is coordinating a reception with Lenten refreshments in the parish hall. Please remember to check the email with the online signup Fr. Justin sent out last week and volunteer to bring either food or help with setup or cleanup.
