October 31, 2021 Featured

We are now deep into fall and preparing to enter the Nativity Fast, which–itself–is a 40-day preparation for the Feast of our Lord’s Nativity (Christmas) on December 25. We invite you to visit our parish for any of our services or scheduled events. We warmly welcome visitors and …

Christ is Risen! A Glimpse At Pascha 2021

May 7, 2021 Featured

In a manner like unto our Lord’s Resurrection, in 2021 we have seen our parish life fully renewed! Our parish family is grateful to God for a complete and healthy celebration of Great Lent, Holy Week, and the Lord’s Pascha! We welcomed hundreds of people to our church over the course of …

Recording & Resources from Lenten Retreat with Mother Abbess Christophora

April 14, 2021 Featured

The years 2020 and 2021 have presented many challenges to churches around the world. One of the ways it presented an opportunity to our parish was that we had the idea to bring in a real monastic (who otherwise would not be able to join us) to speak to our community virtually. On Saturday, April …

The Ongoing Theophany Season

January 12, 2021 Featured

Though 2020 was in many ways a difficult year, our parish family is thankful for the blessings God has given us in this past year: parishioners supported each other, we baptized and chrismated more than a dozen people, we held two weddings, we blessed two parishioners to become monastics (and both …

Preparing for Nativity with Sober Joy

November 24, 2020 Featured

The Orthodox Church is now moving deeper into the pre-Nativity season–readying ourselves for the Christmas, the birth of God in the flesh! This year, mindful of the ongoing spread of Covid-19, we approach the Mystery with deep sobriety that is nonetheless mingled with profound joy. We are …

A Crisp Autumn & Open Doors

October 2, 2020 Featured

Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year in Kentucky. We rejoice that our parish life is approaching normal, once again. The traumatic challenges of the Covid lockdown, from earlier in the year, seem more and more a part of our past and less a part of our present and future! To …

Fall 2020: So Much Happening!

September 16, 2020 Featured

With the coming of the New Church Year on September 1, it felt like we turned a page in church life. Our priest created this video to enocurage us as normal life inexorably returns: Already, we are grateful that: The church is fully open for worship (and has been for months) Fellowship Hour is back …

Our Church is Open!

June 1, 2020 Featured

As we pivot towards the season of Pentecost, we are pleased to announce that our beloved parish is once again open to “in-person” worship! For both our parishioners and for those seekers who might wish to visit our parish, what does our “being open” mean? The full cycle of …

Paschaltide in an Unusual Season

May 2, 2020 Featured

While Pascha 2020 will (hopefully) stand out as a unique one in the story of our lives, we rejoice that Pascha has come and that Christ is Risen! As in every year, the Paschal season continues for 40 days (on this year, until May 28th.) As our country begins to open up from the Coronovirus …

Theophany & Houseblessing Season

January 2, 2020 Featured

The twin feasts of Christmas & Epiphany (Theophany) straddle the New Year and together, mark the second-most important season in the life of the Orthodox Church. The Church (or at least those parts of it on the “New Calendar”) marks the Feast of Theophany on January 6. Leading up to …
