May & More

We invite you to visit St. Athanasius this month as we continue to celebrate an extended season that includes the Resurrection of Christ, the Ascension, and get ready for Penteocst. We begin May with a special celebration of St. Athanasius Day (May 1 and May 2) — which can read about below! will complete our update of the website for the month by this weekend.

Additional upcoming services in May can be found on our carefully-updated google calendar. You can see the hard copy of our May calendar for both St. Athanasius and our daughter chapel in Berea St. Nina in the graphic below:

We invite you to visit St. Athanasius and/or one of our two active daughter communities, St. Nina Mission Church in Berea (extending the reach of the Orthodox Faith along the I-75 corridor & Wilderness Trail) and our Mercer County Chapel.

Below is a collection of photos from April 2026 (which includes Baptisms, Holy Week, & Pascha) showing the full range of our parish life. We hope these photos inspire you to visit our church or one of our chapels. If you have questions about our calendar or any aspect of our Faith or parish life, please reach out to our associate pastor Fr. Giorgi Lomsadze at fr.giorgi@bluegrassorthodox.org.
